The Feel Better, Bear™ Brand and Children’s Self-Help Guide Book initiative was the creative inspiration from the heart and imagination of Kerry Williams in the summer of 2016.
Empathetic and frustrated for the endless grieving families walking through the doors of the grief support organization where Kerry is a volunteer facilitator for children’s groups. Family’s desperately seeking help, guidance, and answers for how to cope with the sorrow accompanied from the loss of a loved one and how to help their children undergo a healthy grief journey was enough to break Kerry’s spirit.
Kerry developed a strong passion and desire to find a way to help the millions of people suffering from the struggles and pitfalls a death in the family can create. Drawing from her own personal traumatic experience of losing her husband, being widowed at a young age, and left alone with two small daughters, Kerry understood what was needed and the dedication it would take to change the taboo about death and grief relief.
Upon years of grief and wellness related training, development and research, the Feel Better, Bear™ Children’s Grief Self-Help Brand was created.
The Feel Better, Bear™ brand wants to contribute to grief support efforts by helping to fill in the gaps where formal resources aren’t available, affordable, or attainable. The Feel Better, Bear™ family is committed to setting a new standard for how our communities and society confront death. Fundamental skills and practices can be a turning point in making a positive impact on one’s own grief journey or in helping someone struggling from the loss of a loved one.
The goals and objectives of Feel Better, Bear™ are to bring local, national, and global awareness to family’s and children’s unique struggles by helping to better equip them for their grief journeys by starting with providing easily accessible related products located through our national retail chains.
